Fosgate Farm Plot

(a.k.a. Will Fosgate Farm )

Pitcher

In 1931 The Capt. John Harris Chapter of the D.A.R. surveyed a small burial plot on Will Fosgate's Farm in Pitcher on Brakel Road. In 1981, Thomas Lloyd, Chenango County Cemetery Coordinator, was unable to find this plot when he conducted his survey of abandoned Cemeteries. It was located along what is now State Route 23, (formerly Brakel Road) but its exact location is unknown. The burial ground was in use around 1814 to 1863.

The data given below is taken from that originally done by Mrs. G. Ray Wells and Mrs. J. B. Meola of the Capt. John Harris Chapter, D.A.R., Norwich New York.
