Much of the information above is in a booklet titled, " Genealogy of the Skinner Family" compiled by Ida A. BROWN in the 1930s. Ida was the daughter of Amy (SKINNER) MATHEWSON. She married Gardner BROWN of Plymouth, NY. Her information on the Skinner lineage was erroneous before Jacob as two Skinner groups were intertwined for many years before research done by Fernald, Wahl, Stengle separated the Thomas SKINNER of Malden, MA group and the John SKINNER of Hartford, CT group out.
